I have a confession to make… I’ve been somewhat lazy in my blog commenting lately as well as releasing this post. Normally I try to comment on all my favorite PF blogs throughout the week, but the last 3 weeks have been brutal on my time and I’ve found it difficult to find time to post comments on all the great blogs out there… me so sorry. However, I am devising a strategy to fix this by setting up a task list that contains certain blogs on certain days that I will visit and comment on – so we’ll see how this strategy works out.
Even this post has come somewhat late, as I was planning to post this at the end of December. Because of this, I’ve actually included a number of January ‘great reads’ in the list – but I’m sure no one cares but me. So even though I call this post “Great Reads of the Month”, it is really great reads over the last 4 weeks. I hope you enjoy.
Below are the blogs I follow and some great reads I think will entertain you. I’m always amazed at the quantity of writing talent out there. I know all these blogs will be successful one day – as long as they don’t hit the ‘burn out’ wall. (Which is what usually kills most great blogs…) So if any of these blogs are unfamiliar to you, please check them out – I’m confident you will enjoy their writing skill.

Bring in the New Year with a Smile
Now, January has already stated so I can’t leave you a video to bring in the new year with a smile (like I usually do) – but I hope this video brings you a smile for the “new week” instead.
It comes from one of my favorite movies… sometimes I will remember this clip in random locations and I’ll proceed to break out smirking while others look at me like a moron. (I laugh just thinking about it) The look on Chris Farley’s face when he grabs his hair is hilarious!
Anyhow, you now know how immature I am – but I do hope it gives you a smile and you have a great weekend enjoying these fantastic posts.
Cheers – Jason

Thanks for including 2 of my links Jason. Believe it or not, but I noticed you hadn’t stopped by for a while. It can be difficult to find time to do blog posts, lead a normal life and also comment on others pages.
I’m told once you pas the 1 year mark it gets easier. Fingers crossed!

Thanks for the mentions Jason! Love the Tommy Boy clip, it’s one of my favorite all time movies. Farley was a classic, definitely is missed in my opinion.

Thanks for the mentions! Definitely appreciated.
Thanks for the mention Jason, blogging is a time suck isn’t it!

It sure can be, but I’m committed and plan to be around 3 years from now.
Tommy Boy! That, sir, is hil-ar-i-ous. “I want to jerk the wheel and drive into a bridge abuntment (sp?).” Classic.
Thanks for including my posts in the list. I’ve been the same. Between the world’s suddenly slowest internet connection (they’re supposedly working on it) and the flu from hell that won’t leave, it’s been ugly.

It seems that everyone has the flu, it’s been brutal… I sure hope my flu shot holds up.
I love Tommy Boy!! Thanks for the mention and don’t worry that you can’t make it to comment on everybody’s blog. It gets very time consuming and while it’s nice to stay up-to-date with everybody, it is really hard to stay on top of it all.
Jason recently posted..Structured Settlement or a Lump Sum? (and a $1,000 Giveaway!!)
Haha, I LOVE Tommy Boy!
Nice job including that.
Thanks for including me in your roundup! I’ve been out of it for a coupe weeks too, I’ll forgive you if you forgive me, haha

No problem – the holidays are tough on time.
Thanks for mentioning my post. It’s a shame that Farley left us at such a young age. He was a talented man and Tommy Boy is a fav from my childhood.
Justin@TheFrugalPath recently posted..$1,000 Giveaway: Why Sell a Structured Settlement?
Very true. Wouldn’t it been great if Farley lived another 30 years?!?!
Thanks for including me twice Jason! I hear you on the commenting strategy. If you let it, there can be no end! I’ve got a very loose schedule that I use for making my way around the web.
My Money Design recently posted..The 403b vs 401k – How Are They the Same? How Are They Different?
I’m thinking my new schedule will work out. The first couple days have worked out well.
Thanks for the double mention. It is hard to comment religiously, especially as more people start to read your blog. I love Chris Farley. He left too soon.

Love Tommy Boy! I find it hard to make time to comment on everybody’s blogs too, there must be some sort of strategy I haven’t mastered yet. Enjoyed the list of posts you put together.
